Business Office hosts WuW

The UPIKE Business Office got down to business in the student lounge Wednesday, Feb 28. The smell of the food filled Wickham, as people from all the dorms started to crowd in and join the games of ping pong and Fortnight battles.
It was a joyous scene at UPIKE as the food was provided by El Azul Grande, a local Mexican restaurant. Free pizza and drinks were also available.
On certain Wednesday nights, UPIKE’s Student Services and Student Success provide food and entertainment for the weekly event.
There were a lot of people there to socialize with others, and it turned out to be a good night overall on campus.
“At first, I only came because the cafe food was terrible today, but when I brought my friends with me and saw more teammates there in the lounge, too, I was like I might as well stay. The food was good; plus, I got a couple wins in ping pong,” said Dennison Lowe, freshman.
“It was a good way to bring the campus together to do something that we all love, to eat good food,” said Bowen Smith, sophomore.
“I came down with some friends to see what all was going on. Then, I saw a bunch of other students in here so we decided this was the move tonight. We were surprised that the food they had was actually good, I’ve never had Mexican food before,” said Cole Kidwell, sophomore.
Many students stayed after to help clean after the event was over.
