Pam Gilliam, Burlin Coleman Distinguished Professor of Business, was recently named University of Pikeville’s Assistant Provost. This is an important role the university because it helps oversee all of campus.
Gilliam, who was born and raised in Paintsville, Ky., first started teaching business at UPIKE in 1977. She has a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in business and earned a doctorate in higher education.
Provost Lori Werth asked Gilliam to alter her role on campus and join the provost’s office. Gilliam is excited to get involved in the UPIKE community because she said UPIKE is like a second home for her.
“I’m excited and ready to see where this year is going to take UPIKE,” Gilliam said.
