Men’s Bowling takes third place at Cincinnati Collegiate Classic

CINCINNATI — The University of Pikeville men’s bowling team finished third out of 22 teams at the Cincinnati Collegiate Classic on Sunday, an event that consisted of nine team games. UPIKE finished with a total pin fall of 8,909 to take third place, while Lindenwood (Mo.) won the championship with 9,245 pins and Martin Methodist (Tenn.) collected second place with 9,097 pins. Andrew Letscher was the Bears’ leading individual in 32nd place with a total score of 1,695 pins, including a high score of 267 in the fourth game bowled. Brandon Dubuc was closed behind in 37th place with a score of 1,665 pins with a high game of 231. Uo next, UPIKE will have a little bit of time off before taking part in the 48th Annual Hoosier Classic, a Tier 1 event, in Indianapolis.
