“The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley” hit the stage on Friday, Nov. 3 at Jenny Wiley Theatre.
The show is a part of the Youth Footlights Program conducted by Kim Willard, assistant professor of theatre, and the entire cast of the musical is kids ranging from 7 to 14 years old. This is the first show of the season at Jenny Wiley Theatre without out-of-state professionals involved.
There are several students at UPIKE who are helping backstage, including Mackenzie Fraley, Dylan Martin, Grace Maynard, and Daniel Lawniczak.
“I enjoy seeing my UPIKE students not only be a part of the shows and perform, but also learn what it’s like to be behind the curtain and learn all aspects of theatre,” said Willard.
The show can be seen Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. and will be staged every day at the same time until Saturday, Nov. 11.
