BSU is now open to UPIKE students

The Black Student Union (BSU) is a new group that has emerged here at UPIKE. BSU is providing an opportunity for students to express their views concerning current events, academics, cultural arts, and campus life. The BSU is here to create more diverse activities for the student body, raise cultural awareness, and promote a more positive image of black students. BSU lets the black student population voice their needs. “Being in this club, I feel comfortable and I also can tell everyone there how I feel about certain situations that is going on out in the world without anyone being hateful of my opinion,” said vice president of BSU, Kameko Cospy. BSU plans to have its first event on Oct. 12. Look for more details later. If you wish to join BSU, contact Robert Musick, chaplain, or email upikebsu@alumnimail.pc.edu or stop by his office at the Chapel.
