Men’s basketball wins big against OSU-Mansfield

On Jan. 18, the men’s basketball team woke up in the second half and went on to beat OSU-Mansfield 110-77. Marcari Brooks was a factor in the game as he dropped a season-high of 33 points. The win makes the record the best starting record in UPIKE history.
Jackson Hussey made history as he ended with a triple double of 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. K.K. Simmons and Christian Leach followed them with 15 each.
The OSU-Mansfield bench produced the most points scoring 33-13 from the starting five. The Bears started out slowly as they were trailing in the first five minutes of the game but before halftime, they went on a 12-2 run to lead by 11. In the second half, UPIKE increased the lead to 21 points with four minutes left to play. By the end of the game, the Bears won by 33.
