Jared S. Reynolds is a new professor at the University of Pikeville teaching chemistry courses.
Reynolds has been married almost five years and has one daughter who is 17 months old.
In his spare time, he likes reading, cooking, hiking, and gardening.
He likes teaching.
“I enjoy helping students understand and master difficult concepts,” he said.
Reynolds said he prefers teaching college-level students rather than any other level of students.
“It’s the maturity level of college students vs. younger students,” he said.
Reynolds’ experience at Pikeville has been good thus far.
“Any new location necessitates some adjustments, but Pikeville has been mostly positive,” he said.
Had he not been a teacher, Reynolds would have been a park ranger or farmer.
His goal in life is to be the best Christian, husband, and father that he can. He shared his favorite quote. “What we do in life echoes in eternity,” he said.
“Be prepared,” he said, is his motto in life.
