Phi Beta Lambda finds opportunities to grow

In the past few weeks, UPIKE’s Phi Beta Lambda chapter has been hard at work attending conferences to better their leadership and business skills. On Nov. 1, the society took several members to a leadership conference at Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights, Ky.
Nov. 22, the society’s officers attended the National Leadership Conference in New Orleans, La. The officers include Bobby Hurley, Blake Scroggins, Kayla Stamper, Courtney Collins, Sarah Hall, Adam Hall, and Billy Cochran.
While at the conference, the group attended business workshops on leadership and different aspects of business. They also had the opportunity to network with students across the nation and competed in the national competition. This offered tremendous experience for these undergraduate students and helped them prepare for professional life after graduation.
“PBL has given us the opportunity to open our eyes to businesses and cultures all over the globe,” Phi Beta Lambda president, Hurley, said. “We are networking and competing with students across the country while experiencing the amazing sights and sounds New Orleans has to offer.”
