Women’s soccer takes loss on the road

The UPIKE Bears’ women’s soccer team continued to struggle as it lost in a shutout on the road at Union. The offensive game has struggled dramatically as the Bears have been scoreless in the last four games. Kaitlyn Abdon led the Bears with seven shot attempts but couldn’t get any to go through the net.
Union’s Aline Dalmedico scored two goals for the Bulldogs in the 16th and 65th minutes of the game. The Bulldogs had outstanding play from their goalkeepers Kendall Ellington and Juliana Schardong, who combined for a total of ten saves. Chelsea Schulte finished the game with six goals saves and allowed two goals; however, the third goal scored for Union was deflected off a member of UPIKE’s team into the net.
