Allara Library gives APA workshop
0On Thursday, Nov. 14, the Allara Library held an APA workshop that was taught by Jane Hammons. The workshop was an instruction session on APA format that was from 4-5 p.m.. After 5, students were welcome to stay for individual assistance to ask question or receive help on APA format.
The session reviewed different parts of an APA paper, in-text citations, plagiarism, and references. Students and faculty were welcome to attend the workshop just by sending an email to hold a spot. Also, some professors offered extra credit for attending. The APA workshop had 25 students attend. The information that was given was helpful.
“The APA workshop was very inform- ative and will help me with my papers for my final semester,” senior Asha Reed said.
The APA workshop also offered helpful sources on the format such as:
• https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/re- source/560/01/
If anyone needs assistance with APA format, the librarians are always there to help.
