Nov. 11-12, the men’s basketball team went 2-0 increasing its overall record to 8-0. Friday, Nov. 11, the men won by a landslide, with the game ending in a 99-65 overall victory for the Bears against Carlow University.
Saturday, Nov. 12, the Bears were led by senior Trey Rakes with 18 points shooting 6-12 from the field and 6-9 from the arch. Rakes seemed to be the hot hand that night, so the team continued to feed him the ball, as he led them to victory and was awarded player of the game as well.
“We came out there and took care of business. They were a hard working team and can shoot the ball very well, but I feel that we handled it like we should and came out with the win,” Rakes said.
