The UPIKE women’s basketball team had a busy week of basketball as they finished the week with 2 wins and 1 loss. Overall, the Bears are 4-1 with their most recent win against Ohio Christian, 80-58. The Bears’ only loss was a close game as they fell to Ohio-Lancaster last week, 77-70.
“Our goal is to keep the energy up and to stick together when things don’t go the way we’d like them to and to win conference and make another run in the national tournament,” Adison Corder, sophomore guard, said.
The Bears were predicted to finish fourth in the Mid-South Conference.
The Bears stay ranked at no. 17 in the nation as they are off to a hot start with head interim coach Clifton Williams. Williams was tenured with Florida State and Kentucky prior to coming to Pikeville.
The next set of home games for the Bears are on Nov. 26 against Shawnee State and Nov. 28 against Georgetown. Livestreams of these games will be available during the season.
