UPIKE students dream about Dream Club

Dreams! What do they mean? You probably recognize a connection between the dream world and the “real” world, but did you know you can actually do things to nurture your dream life?
On Wednesday, Sept. 14, the UPIKE Dream Club held its first meeting. The club is a place where students can share and discuss their dreams and interpret their meaning.
The club was started by students Christin Justice and Yusra Mansoor.
“It’s about bringing the unconscious to the conscious, connecting people and bringing healing and self awareness,” said Justice.
Psychology professor, Dr. John Howie, is sponsoring the club. Justice and Mansoor took his class, PSY 333: Dreams into Consciousness this past summer which inspired them to start the club. The class is being taught this semester and again in summer 2017.
The club encourages students to keep dream journals, and sharing is completely optional. The Dream Club meets every Wednesday at 9 p.m. The last meeting was held on the Armington bridge, so if you’re interested in joining, stop by. If you have any questions or need more information, please contact Justice by email about the club.
