0Staff Report
University of Pikeville faculty attended the International Conference on Interdisciplinary Social Sciences in Granada, Spain in July. Dr. LeAnne Epling, associate professor of psychology; Rachel Little, assistant professor of communication; and Chandra Massner, associate professor of communication, joined peers from around the globe for a presentation of their research examining Political Communication in Social Media.
The group shared their research in a roundtable discussion with colleagues from Australia, Columbia, Peru, Philippines, South Africa and South Korea.
“We thank the University of Pikeville for supporting us in our research and allowing us to share our scholarship with international colleagues representing a range of disciplines,” said Massner. “We can’t wait to return to campus and implement what we have learned in our classes.”
The three faculty members toured Barcelona, Girona, and Grenada during their time in Spain.
“Seeing Spain was truly a lesson in history, architecture, and culture,” Massner said.
