“Letters for veterans” an event held in Kinzer on Nov. 9 to let students write letters to their loved ones or veterans in the community. “I thought it was great knowing that I have veterans in my family and many of us do even if you know someone in the community that is a veteran, it’s always great to reach out,” said Austin Turner, junior who lives in Kinzer. “We put this together for the ones that have fallen and for the heroes who made it through. I know the country is divided, and I feel like any little thing will help,” said Nathan pray, an R.A at Kinzer. A quote was used for the event that everyone really enjoyed and it stated, “True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It’s not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost but to serve others at whatever cost.”
