Founders’ Day tradition continues at UPIKE

Founders’ Day is a UPIKE tradition that was held Thursday, Oct. 26. It is a way for students to engage in different activities and festivities around campus. There were cornhole games going on and music that was provided by student activities directors David Kelly Porter and Luke Kopp. There were also bags being decorated for the lighting of the campus. This was a great way to introduce new students to a UPIKE tradition. The community came together to decorate the campus. Teddy Newsome, who is the junior class President and part of the Sigma Chi Gamma fraternity, was involved with some of the events and enjoyed the day. He was giving others advice on what this special day meant to him since he has been here. “ I love UPIKE and enjoy Founders’ Day, the way it changes the day and brings people together from different backgrounds to enjoy different events that are hosted,” said Newsome.
