Devotional: Struggles
0Written By Sherre May
Psalm 103:8-12 says, “The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. He will not always chide, nor will he keep his anger forever. He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.”
As college students, we all struggle. I have been struggling because of bad things that have happened to me this past year. They took my eyes off of God’s plans for me. This whole time I should have had faith that He was going overcome every obstacle in my life.
I even took it upon myself to fix myself, but I can’t without God. I know I needed to submit to God and be thankful for all He did in these times. I know He could have left me on the ground when I fell. He could have left me forsaken but He carried me on when I was weak.
Sometimes, our pride gets in the way of letting people know we are struggling, or letting our feelings show because it makes us weak. We are broken, but yet God has plan for our lives. Before we can change our lives, we should submit ourselves.
