Professor Genesia Kilgore-Bowling is supervising two events that her SW 350 students are hosting.
The first event is Mindfulness 101 presented by guest teacher, Sheila Fazio from the Moksha Institute. This is a one-hour free lecture and practice about neuroscience and yoga-based practices. The purpose of this event is to increase joy, happiness, and flow. The event will be held on Tuesday, April 14, at 11 a.m. in Armington 417.
Fifty Shades of Self will be held Wednesday, April 29 from 5-6 p.m. in the administration building, room 305. Fifty Shades of Self: Diversity, Inclusion, and Empowerment’s purpose is to go beyond the visible spectrum and to provide an informative and fun psycho-educational group for students. Space is limited for this event, and only the first 15 attendees will be admitted. Light refreshments will be served.
