On Tuesday, Jan. 20, the Pink Ladies Club held its first meeting of the semester. The Pink Ladies are a group that raises awareness about breast cancer and ovarian cancer on campus. They are an active group and raise awareness around the campus and community.
The ladies are planning three events for this semester: Bowling for Boobies, Little Miss UPIKE Benefit Pageant, and a powderpuff game.
“I am very excited about this semester. Last semester, we were unable to find the time to complete a fundraiser because everyone’s schedules were so hectic. I want to encourage anyone and everyone to come out and help us join the fight against breast cancer. We have a lot of exciting things that we will be able to do this semester with plenty of opportunity to help others,” Makayla Colley, senior, president, said.
The next meeting for the Pink Ladies will be Thursday, Jan. 29 in Armington 421 at 11 a.m. Anyone is welcome to join the fight against cancer.
