Thursday, Nov. 13, former Pikeville College baseball player Tim Carter hosted the FCA meeting. Carter transferred from Morehead State University.
Carter came to the meeting to discuss how to handle adversity. He told a story about how he faced adversity with the birth of his son. His son was born with a problem with the left side of his heart not receiving enough oxygen. He was told that if his son were to be born that he would die within three days. Carter decided to let his son be born anyway.
Titus Carter was born Feb. 2, 2006. He died a month later, but the family was able to take a family photo before his departure.
Carter explained that we could help one another get through adversity, and see the strength that God gives us and the importance of us developing a relationship with God.
