Weber Art Gallery features paintings out of this world

Have you ever wanted to see aliens in art? The University of Pikeville opens the Weber Art Gallery with an art show featuring extra-terrestrial inspired paintings from artist Steve Ward. The Weber Art Gallery, located on the second floor of the Record Memorial building, will be open to visitors Monday-Thursday. This is the first gallery show of the new school year and students are encouraged to appreciate the amazing artwork.
Ward, from Murfreesboro, Tenn., created an exhibit that boasts vibrant colors and an interesting subject matter. The exhibit paints the picture of UFO sightings and alien abductions but does so with beautiful brush strokes and bright colors. His art appeals to sci-fi and abstract lovers alike. Ward will be visiting UPIKE on Oct. 10 to speak to students and the public.
Students that are interested in becoming artists or simply want to check out the gallery should walk on over to the second floor of Record. Every piece in the gallery is oil on canvas and for sale.
