0Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.
1 Timothy 4:12 reminds those who are young to be examples by their speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity. Don’t judge a young people based solely upon the fact that they are young. This was Paul speaking to Timothy and warning him as he went to speak to an older man than himself and for him not to be intimidated.
People tend to give more respect to those that are older than to youth. If you know you’re speaking the truth and strongly believe in what you are speaking about, then stand strong, and don’t let anyone tell you to back down due to your age. Just because you’re young doesn’t mean that you’re below older people. Do worry about being young, but set an example for those who are younger and look up to you. Do not simply judge the young but be a role model, set an example, and help them choose the right path.
