UPIKE advocates alcohol education
0Written By Jamie Riley
Todd McLean, student service advisor, is supervising UPIKE’s administration of a new online alcohol program. This program is mostly for freshmen or transfer students to become aware of alcohol regarding their grades and life choices. “It’s a program that universities across the nation subscribe to, and it is designed to educate students about alcohol, and to help them make good life choices regarding the use of alcohol,” McLean said. “[It’s] a service the university provides for the students, and hopefully, it’ll decrease the alcohol incidents on campus.” This is McLean’s first year working with this program. He has customized it for the students here at UPIKE, so that it will help this university’s demographics. This will help him figure out alcohol problems specific to UPIKE. Students received an email with directions on how to complete the training online. If you have questions about the training, please see McLean in student services.
