Bears win series vs. Pioneers

The Bears’ baseball team took on the Pioneers of Glenville State. The Bears took the series two games to one making their record 8-3 overall. James Brooks received the loss after a late comeback attempt by the Bears getting the tying run to third in the bottom of the 7th inning but they couldn’t get him home, losing by the final score of 4-3.
But in game two, the Bears would not allow the Pioneers to keep momentum. The Bears would win the second game of the day by a score of 5-3. Dalton Dahley got the start, but Logan Sales came in to get the win, his first of the year.
The hot bats are what got the win as the Bears scored four runs in the 6th, giving them the final lead. AJ Carkner got the save in the 7th.
Bryce Carden pieced together another nice start to the third game of the season, bu, offense stole the show as the Bears won 10-1. Erik Manning and Anthony Roberts led the way combining for six hits and four RBI’s .
