Zeta Omega Chi donates to community this holiday season
0Thanksgiving cheer is beaming on UPIKE’s campus this semester. The Zeta Omega Chi sorority donated a stroller to a local woman and her children. The woman had two children, one child is 2 years old and the youngest is 4 months old. The sorority made the donation on Nov. 8 at the West Care Homeless Shelter in response to UPIKE Chaplain Rob Musick’s request.
The sisterhood also made a large donation of clothes and canned foods to the shelter. This is the second clothing drive that the sisters of Zeta Omega Chi have held for the shelter this semester.
All the sisters were extremely happy to give anything that they could for the shelter this season and feel it is important to make a difference to their designated philanthropy.
“The shelter needs a helping hand all year long, not just during the holiday season. We plan to donate items as well as our time through the entire year,” Zeta Omega Chi treasurer Felecia Proctor said.
To continue their holiday heartwarming cheer, the sorority is setting up decorated boxes in the UPIKE bookstore and in Java city for canned donations to the shelter.
“Join the Zetas and donate to someone in need this holiday season!” President of Zeta Omega Chi, Alexis Vescovo said.
