As the new school year has begun, so has the season for UPIKE Theatre. This fall, “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” will be performed by UPIKE Theatre. The company includes Audrey Caudill, Madison Daniels, Ethan Duncan, Mackenzie Fraley, Caleb Harris, Autumn Jones, Dylan Martin, Grace Maynard, Jeremi Plourde, and Jesse Plourde.
“The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” is based on the book of the same name and was written by Mark Haddon. The story follows a 15-year-old autistic boy named Christopher as he tries to solve who murdered his neighbor’s dog, only to discover that there is more than one mystery to solve.
“Playing this role took a lot of research,” said Jesse Plourde who is portraying Christopher. “With Christopher, nothing is never below number 1 priority. In processing things, every single thing he thinks of is number one in his mind, and his mind moves so quickly. My favorite part about him is how unique he is and how much love he really has for everyone he comes in contact with.”
“The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” opens at Jenny Wiley Theatre Sept. 24, and has performances on Sept. 26, 27, 28, Oct. 4, and 5 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 with a UPIKE I.D. and $10 for general admission.
