Slone hosts chapel

On Tuesday, April 24, students met in the chapel at 11 a.m. with guest speaker David Slone, associate professor of education, while the campus chaplain, Rob Musick, was away.
Slone gave a message out of chapter 27 in the book of Acts, about moving/traveling with God’s spirit. He said that God has a plan for everyone. Even when his people are in the storm, like Paul was approached by in the message, God has a plan for them to survive. Slone gave an illustration about a weathered and worn out penny. It looked nasty, but he observed it until he could read the message on it In God We Trust. He had to shine the light on the darkness of the penny before he could find the message on it. He said when you read the Bible, you need to look for the light to get the message.
“By the grace of God, anytime I get a chance to come talk about God, I love to come talk about God. God had been so good to me,” said Slone.
