UPIKE campus elects new SGA officers for 2018-2019

UPIKE recently elected its new officers for 2018-2019. A total of 154 students, approximately 16 percent of the undergraduate student population, voted in the UPIKE 2018-2019 SGA election.
The new SGA President and Vice-President are sophomore Zakary Bray and freshman Jami Young. Junior Michaela Stidham will serve as Secretary/Treasurer. Academic Affairs Representative was won by junior Hannah Charles. Junior Teddy Newsome is the new Social Affairs Representative. Lastly, freshman William Wheeler is the new Clubs and Organization Commissioner.
“I am really excited that our hard work paid off, and I am excited to see what we do next year,” President-elect Bray said. “We ran to ensure that everyone knows that their voice is heard. Thanks to everyone that voted for us. Also, a huge shout out to the other candidates who ran and won.”
