Although the UPIKE football team is graduating a few key players on offense and defense, including QB Sani Warren and OLB Camron Parsely, there has been heavy recruitment in the off-season to bring back the best for the Bears to grow their program.
With the Bears returning First Team All-Conference DB Taeron Brown, along with a new Defensive Coordinator, Coach Dominic Anderson from Wake Forest University, the UPIKE football team is looking forward to the potential next season can bring.
“I trust and believe that hiring him (Anderson) to be a part of our team and lead our defense positively into the fall and hopefully into the playoffs,” said Head Coach Al Holland.
“I think our defense will be better at working together with this new defense, and I like him as a strong confident coach to help us shutout teams this year,’’ said senior DB Taeron Brown.
