On Wednesday, Oct. 25 as part of Homecoming Week at the University of Pikeville, multiple students took the time to give back to the community that has given them so much during a Day of Service.
Students performed a variety of activities for the day of service, including writing postcards for needy children in third world countries, collecting food for local shelters, and visiting Model City Daycare to hand out candy and read Halloween stories.
Public relations and Public Speaking students shared their morning with local kids.
“I loved being able to read to the kids at the daycare for our day of service,” senior communication major Madyson Ferrell said.
