Men’s Soccer kicks off the season

The UPIKE men’s soccer team has been busy so far this year. It has played three games so far and lost all three, but the three games are not a reflection of how the team has actually played so far this season. The first game was a home opener against Johnson and Wales University. The result was 4 to 0. So, the men’s team used this game as something to build on for the second game. The second game of the season was against 11th ranked Bryan College. The score was 4 to 1. The team put in a great team performance, but it ended in another UPIKE loss. The third game of the season was another loss to Milligan University, putting the men’s team to 0 wins and 3 losses. The culture is changing at UPIKE, and the men’s program is on the right track. Max Isenberg, senior and captain of the team, said, “We had a lot more individual talent come in, and from the beginning of preseason as a whole, we have become closer as a program.”
