The Two Gentleman of Verona, a play by William Shakespeare, was the talk of the campus on Jan 26, when the American Shakespeare Center put on a magnificent musical and play for all of the campus at UPIKE. It was a packed house for Booth Auditorium on this night but not just with students, members from the city of Pikeville also attended. The show started with all of the actors and actresses playing live music. Every person in the play could play multiple instruments. They played everything from Frank Sinatra to Darius Rucker, doing everything they could to get the crowd involved. The audience seemed to love the music and the performance as a whole. “It was long, but well worth it,’’ said UPIKE student Peyton Dove.
