Dr. Leanne Epling, associate professor of psychology at UPIKE, is the faculty advisor for the honor society, Psi Chi.
Psi Chi is for students with a major or minor of psychology with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Epling announced that she is still accepting applications for those who may qualify and are interested. There are one-time dues of $50.
Psi Chi mostly enhances students resumes, especially if they are going to graduate school. Psi Chi also helps those who are in this honor society to meet new people, and members participate in community service.
Psi Chi would like to invite students to go to its movie night Thursday, Nov. 3. It’s in Armington 417 at 6:30 p.m. and the movie will be “The Forest,” which is based on a true story of the people who go to Japan’s suicide forest.
Admission is $1 and snacks such as popcorn, chips, and drinks are included.
This event will be extra credit for students who are in a psychology class, but everyone is welcome.
