Phi Beta Lambda succeeds at Nationals

Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) is a student organization at the University of Pikeville. PBL is a part of Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda. This is a student business organization. The PBL chapter from the University of Pikeville had 10 students compete in various events in June at the National Leadership Conference (NLC) hosted in Atlanta, Ga. At the NLC students from schools throughout the United States compete in events such as Future Business Executive and Business Analysis and Decision Making. Four students from the University of Pikeville placed in the top 10 in their competitive event at the NLC. Billy Cochran, junior; Jessica Frazier, senior; Adam Hall, senior; and Zane Maheu, senior, placed in their events: 9th in Impromptu Speaking 5th in Client service, 3rd in Cost Accounting, and 10th in Personal Finance. “It was such a great experience to attend the National Leadership Conference in Atlanta. I look forward to watching this PBL chapter grow from outside the institution,” said Jarred Thacker, 2016 graduate.
