Bears party with the Broncos

Super Bowl Sunday has become an unofficial holiday for men and women all over the country. Some people use it as an excuse to party, while others use it as a time to commune with their friends and enjoy a good football game.
That is exactly what Pastor Rob Musick has done for the past few years by throwing a Super Bowl party in the Booth Auditorium at UPIKE. Normally, Musick leads the 737 worship service, on Sunday’s in Booth, but knowing that he couldn’t compete with the game, he decided to join them by hosting the party in place of the service.
This is Musick’s third year hosting the Super Bowl party at UPIKE, which is open to everyone, and he even offers free pizza and drinks to all comers. This year, some students followed Musick’s lead and held their own on-campus parties. Even with the other parties going on, there were plenty of students enjoying the game on the large screen in Booth.
Musick said he liked the Broncos’ chances because “you can’t stop a white Bronco,” jokingly referring to O.J. Simpson and his white Bronco!
