Greek life heats up with annual competition

This week is a busy week for UPIKE’s Greek life. Each day this week, the fraternities and sororities on campus will compete in various competitions to try to earn points in the annual Greek Week competition.
The Greek festivities started Sunday, Nov 2. Each chapter presented a cheer during the UPIKE vs. UK game. Also, on this day the photo hunt list was released. The photo hunt consisted of each chapter gathering as many photo hunt items as possible within 10 pictures.
Monday, there was a trivia night held in the student lounge. Tuesday, there was an all chapter meeting being held in Booth Auditorium. Wednesday, the Greek Olympics will be held in the UPIKE gym. Thursday night at 9 will be the Greek Sing. For those of you who are not familiar with this, it is a dancing and/or lip-syncing competition. Admission will be one dollar or one canned food item. All the proceeds will be donated to the food pantry and homeless shelters in need. Last but not least is Friday. On this day, the photo hunt is required to be turned in no later than 10 a.m.
The Greek chapters will attend the basketball game at the Expo Center. They will dress up like Grecian gods and goddesses.
Good luck to each chapter this week and may the points be ever in your favor.
