Cross Country Focuses on Improvement

The first meet to begin the 2014 cross country season was at Shawnee University on Sept 12. It was the first meet to see all of the conference teams run, said Leonard Burks.
The team’s focus as runners was to become better runners throughout the season. What Burks finds interesting is that they all are focused on getting better, and it’s their main goal as a team. The meet gave him an outlook on what he needs to work on for the next meet.
“To give anything less than your best, is to sacrifice the gift,” said Steve Perfontaine.
