War Wounded: Clark publishes book
0Associate Professor of Speech and Theatre Basil Clark wrote and self published a book titled War Wounded: Let the Healing Begin. The inspiration of his book is what’s really happening inside when someone has a traumatic experience happen to them in life. The book explains other people’s pathways to healing and that everyone has a story. It is for the people who have been battered by life’s storms.
“Within our diversities, we find out just how much we have in common,” said Clark.
The book includes endorsements from Gov. Paul Patton, a pastor in the Netherlands, Clark’s sons, and a former editor of Backpack Magazine. A portion of the proceeds from the book are going to be donated to the Wounded Warrior Mentor Program as well as the UPIKE Spiritual Life mission group.
Clark wrote the book while on sabbatical during the Spring 2013. He interviewed 20 people during the project.
