UPIKE men’s soccer team continues to struggle

The men’s soccer team has struggled the past two games, resulting in two losses for the team. The Bears have struggled to put the ball in the back of the net as they have not scored a goal in the past five conference games. Against Georgetown, it was an even game until Georgetown broke through in the 75th minute if the game. The Bears didn’t struggle to create chances, it was just putting it in the back of the net that hurt them in the end. The Bears kept fighting to get a goal, but Georgetown set in and made it hard for the Bears to score in those last 15 minutes, resulting in a 1-0 loss for the Bears. The Bears then traveled to No. 24 Cumberland University, where the Bears suffered another loss putting the Bears at 2-11-1. The Bears had a decent first half performance against Cumberland as the score line was 2-0 at halftime. The game busted wide open in the second half from the 68th minute and onward as Cumberland score three more goals.
