UPIKE helps others

On Thursday, Oct. 5, the beginning of fall break, Chaplain Rob Musick plans to take students on a mission trip to Washington D.C. While in D.C., Musick plans for all to stay at a local church and plans to work with the homeless, enjoy a speaker, visit the Holocaust Museum, and worship Sunday morning before returning to UPIKE.
The trip will cost $100, and the opportunity to sign up to go to D.C. will end Sept. 19.
“The students who have gone to help in the past have experienced more questions about life, as well as, their stereotypes are challenged after experiencing the new perspective,” said Musick.
UPIKE students will continue to have two more opportunities to attend a mission trip with Musick, Haiti in December and South Dakota during spring break. Musick invites anyone who has connections to other places in need to contact him.
