59th Governor of Kentucky Paul E. Patton

This office serves as a replica of the Governor’s Office in Frankfort, Kentucky, when Paul E. Patton served as Kentucky’s 59th Governor for two terms from 1995 to 2003. Because of a 1992 amendment to the Kentucky Constitution, he was the first governor eligible to run for a second term in office since James Garrard in 1800.

When Judi and Governor Patton left the Governor’s office in December of 2003, the then Pikeville College(UPIKE) asked them to make the college the repository of the memorabilia of their lives. The now university has two offices dedicated to the lives of the Governor and First Lady Judi, as well as their dedication to public service and the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
