A new art exhibit is featuring teachers and their latest art pieces. The new exhibit is located in the Weber Art Gallery on the 2nd floor of the Record Memorial Building. The gallery opened at the start of the semester in hopes to attract many new faces to admire the artwork on display. “It’s always a great feeling seeing new people look at the gallery,” said Sarah Rice, junior. Rice fulfills duties as the Art Gallery monitor. Artists featured in the gallery include Patricia Kowalok, Chair of the Division of Humanities, Petra Carroll, Associate Professor of Art, and Paula Smith, local folk art teacher. The art on display ranges from Carroll’s more abstract work in the “I Dream of Rain” collection, to the realistic work seen in Smith’s “I can Hear the Ocean”.
