The Coleman College of Business Speakers and Leadership Series featured alumnus Kyle Sineath on Wednesday, Oct. 11. Sineath presented “From Pikeville College to CEO: Many Great Things have Unexpected Beginnings.”
Sineath played football, soccer, and tennis at Pikeville College. The theme of the presentation was passion. Passion came from his coach’s drive.
The 99 represents all of us today, our talents, strengths, and weaknesses, he said. The 99 is humbling and symbolic. Nobody goes up and turns around when they are halfway. They keep going. This is what the University of Pikeville is all about.
Sineath is the CEO of Paxeon Construction in Collierville, Tenn. The company builds top-of the line orthopedic products.
“Become an entrepreneur. Don’t work for someone else. It is high risk, but it is high reward. You need to dig deep and want it,” Sineath said.
Pick something that you love. Don’t do something just because it’s a paycheck.
He never had the fear of complacency, he said, he always wanted to know how to get better and how to get to the next level.
