On Saturday, Oct. 21, the UPIKE football team played away where the Bears took on Union College. At the beginning of the game, the Bears were leading the game 14-7. The Bulldogs started to pull away early in the second half when they took the lead ending the game 63-35. Xondre Willis, sophomore, rushed for a career high of 257 yards. Romon Morris, senior, was not able to play in the game due to a decision made by the Mid-South Conference after the last game at Cumberland, Ky. “It upsets me knowing that we lost and that I could have possibly made an impact being there. I’m sad my team might not get to play for a national championship, but I know we can still finish with a great record,” Morris said.
