This year, the University of Pikeville refurbished and replaced the furniture in some classrooms. Armington 102 and 103 were the first rooms to receive new furniture. The furniture that was chosen was Steelcase Node desks which are seat and desk combinations on wheels making it more convenient for students.
Krista F. Laws, administrative assistant for the dean of the college of arts and sciences, said, “Everyone was really excited about the change. It was fun getting good feedback that everyone seemed to agree with.”
Funds were also used to replace the door, paint, carpet, and install new white boards and two large televisions in Armington 213. During fall break University of Pikeville added a wall to cover an old metal wall and upgraded the projector in Armington 311.
