The University of Pikeville offers an amazing spiritual life experience to students. They are built upon understanding that God is love. This allows the students to have a passionate and growing experience while being on campus, away from home. Students can go on a spiritual journey full of graciousness and love. Student Services (Spiritual Life) offers several events throughout the academic year such as Spiritual Emphasis Week. This event is normally held in November. Each day of the week an event is held allowing students to attend and be a part of the spiritual journey. Spiritual Life also conducts a chapel service weekly and can direct you to several different churches in the area. One of the more popular spiritual orginizations is Athletes in Action. “Athletes in Action (AIA) has been using sports as a platform to help people answer questions of faith and to point them to Jesus. Sports have the power to open doors and create connections in a way that few other things can, and that’s why UPIKE is constantly working to create new ways of reaching out to athletes and sports fans alike. Ultimately, the goal is to see peoples’ lives changed as they discover God’s purpose for their life,” acoording to the AIA website. This platform allows athletes to continue to have faith throughout their athletic journey.
