The Spiritual Life Committee at UPIKE has planned the annual Spiritual Emphasis week with many events and encourages everyone to take part. This year, the events continue through Saturday, Nov. 19.
The featured events are a 737 lecture, a discussion with a wrongfully convicted former death row prisoner, a lecture from President Webb, a film screening, worship on the hill with a sermon and live music, a lecture from Ilia Delio, a quilting event for a cancer patients, and a dinner for the KYCOM mission trip to the Dominican Republic.
This year’s theme will revolve around questioning beliefs and morals.
“I want the students to engage in questioning,” said Chaplain Rob Musick. “Questioning is a good thing. I believe that is the substance of life, and we live our lives blindly if we don’t ask questions.”
