Bear Update on air
0UPIKE film and media arts students participated in a practice live new broadcast with the help of PikeTV.
On Tuesday, Nov. 8., the whole broadcast team was made up of solely students from the class for Bear Update.
Hope Tucker, sophomore, operated the camera. The camera operator’s job is to manage the camera and listen to the directors to get the shots they want. It made her realize that news making is more complicated than she thought.
Travis Stamper, sophomore, was an anchor. As an anchor, he explained current events on the UPIKE campus.
Stamper described his experience as “fun, informative, and I would definitely recommend the class and the experience.”
The broadcast will be available to watch on YouTube at: PikeTV 99 and also on the UPIKE Film & Media Arts page.
Students interested in participating in the future may register for FMA 235: Digital Media, which is taught each semester.
