Chapel meets weekly

Tuesday, Oct. 18 in Chapel, Chaplain Rob Musick did a special type of scripture reading. This reading is known as Lectio Divina. Genesis 13 was the chapter that was covered, which held a great message. In this type of scripture reading, you allow yourself to open up more and better receive the message of God. There are four stages in Lectio Divina: read, meditate, pray, and contemplate. Using this type of scripture reading allowed the students attending to grasp a better understanding of the word of God. Lectio Divina is used to have a successful and growing relationship with Christ. It added a new twist to Chapel. Genesis chapter 13 shared a message of separation, agreement, and God’s promise. This week’s message was interesting to hear. Chapel is held every Tuesday morning at 11 a.m.
