Bear’s Growl: Parking
0Written by Jarek Burke
Parking…. Eww. All of us at UPIKE know that the parking is a drag, whether you drive to school and battle the garage, or you are a resident of the campus sacred to go to the store and back. I commute to school, and I do not enjoy having to search the infamous parking garage every morning for at least 15 minutes for a spot. After doing circles for 15 minutes, I usually give up and park down by the baseball field. I commute a 30-minute drive every single day. I don’t want to have to leave my house an hour and a half early just to park. Parking on the yellow lines might result in your car being towed and a nice parking ticket on top of the towing fees. A friend of mine was parked on the top floor of the garage on yellow lines, simply because there was nowhere else to park. He received a phone call while in class from one of his friends, saying his truck was being towed. He left class early and ran to the garage to find a city police officer and employee of Road Tested Wrecker Services towing his truck. We need better parking! No need for students to have to pay money they do not have on tickets.
